Voix d’argile est une proposition artistique et de collaboration qui cherche à ouvrir un dialogue entre différentes cultures. C’est la mise en commun de trois formes d’art, le chant de gorge inuit (katajjaq), les percussions et la céramique. C’est la rencontre de quatre artistes, dont les origines, inuite, perse et québécoise se rejoignent au coeur d’un espace de partage où s’accompagnent l’immatérialité des voix de Lysa Iqaluk et de Laura Iqaluk qui chantent leur territoire arctique et ce qu’il donne à entendre, les battements des tambours de Ziya Tabassian et les résonances des céramiques de Marie Côté. Voix d’argile recense au rythme de la vie, des parcelles de terre et des éclats de voix (extrait d’un texte originale de Marie Coté).

Clay Voices is an artistic proposal and collaboration that seeks to open a dialogue between different cultures. This is the pooling of three art forms, the Inuit throat singing (katajjaq), percussion and ceramics. It is the meeting of four artists whose origins, Inuit, Persian and Quebec meet in the heart of a common shared space combining the immateriality of the voices of Lysa Iqaluk and Laura Iqaluk singing their Arctic territory in the native sounds it suggests, the beating of drums Ziya Tabassian and the resonances of Marie Côté’s ceramic installations. Clay Voices sketches out the rhythms of life, land parcels and fragmented voices (from an original text written by Marie Coté).
